Learn about polar explorers and build your own miniature polar shelter with Stephanie Frazier on Zoom!
This event is designed for grades 4-6, but all are welcome to join.
Recommended supplies:
- For Mapping / Polar Geography:
- Paper or notebook
- Pencil
- World map printable
- Blue crayon/marker to shade the polar regions
- For the Miniature Polar Shelter STEM Build (Students may use ANY of the following supplies at home — or come up with their own ideas!)
- Paper (construction, copy paper, recycled cardboard)
- Tape or glue
- Scissors
- Popsicle sticks, toothpicks, or straws
- Cotton balls, paper towels, tissues, or felt
- Aluminum foil (reflective insulation option)
- Small boxes (tissue box, snack box, etc.)
- Plastic cup, bowl, or container
- Pipe cleaners or yarn
