Mt. Washington is famous for its extreme weather, but few get to experience its fury. Join observatory staff for a program which examines the forces behind winter weather events - such as blizzards, nor'easters, lake-effect snow, freezing rain, and extreme cold. We'll apply simple concepts and personal experience to understand the storms that produce New England's extreme winter weather events.
This event is designed for grades 4-8, but all are welcome to join.
