Art History I, Part 1 of 2

This course introduces students to art and architecture within historical, social, political, religious, and geographical contexts. Organized by time period and world region, the course covers a wide range of topics including medieval and Romanesque art, Renaissance and baroque art, the work of master artists, and modern art. Students also explore global art traditions from Asia, Africa, the Americas, and Pacific cultures, gaining a broad understanding of how art has evolved across civilizations and centuries.
