APCALC 065: AP Calculus BC, Part 1 of 2
The AP Calculus BC series, which is the equivalent of a first- and second-semester college-level calculus courses, provides students with a head start in college mathematics and opens doors of opportunity in engineering, physics, astronomy, economics, cryptography, and many other careers. Students will learn about topics such as limits, derivatives, and integrals. This is the first course in a two-part series that prepares students to take the AP Calculus BC exam. The BYU Independent Study course includes a separate must-pass final exam for course credit but does not administer the AP exam or include its fee in tuition. Students must arrange to take the AP exam at a local school using the AP Course Ledger; be aware many schools have an ordering deadline of November 15th.
