Recommended supplies:

• Paper muffin liners or cooking spray
• 1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin purée (not pumpkin pie filling)
• 3/4 cup light brown sugar
• 1/2 cup vegetable or canola oil or butter
• 2 large eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
