Introduction to Military Careers is a one-semester course that introduces the US military and describes each of its branches, which include the National Guard, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Air Force. Students will learn about the relationship of the military reserve to the branches of the military. The course covers non-combat careers in the military, such as military intelligence, information technology, health care, legal services, logistics, aviation, and transportation, and other specialized careers. This course also covers enlistment and fitness requirements for military careers and personal traits that are essential for success in the military.
